Welcome to the IGTLA

Welcome to the Indiana Government Technology Leaders Association. Our objective is to unite local government information technology leaders in the State of Indiana for the purpose of exerting effectively a combined influence upon matters affecting information technology operations. Members of IGTLA benefit from collaborating among their peers, information and process sharing, and technical resources and support.

IGTLA 2018 Spring Meeting

Our 2018 Spring Meeting will be held at Hamilton County Osprey Point Pavilion, 19777 Morse Park Lane, Noblesville, IN 46062 at 8:00am on Wednesday, April 18 to 5:00pm Thursday April 19.


Dates for our spring meeting have been set. Agenda as follows:

April 18th
9:00 - 10:00 - Business Meeting
10:15 - 11:00 - Cyber Security discussion (Cyber Insurance, KnowBe4, Ransomware)
11:00 - 12:00 - On-Ramp Indiana - Wireless Hardware (Airlink)
12:00 - 2:00 - Lunch & CBTS discussion (Lunch provided by CBTS)
2:15 - 4:00 - Secretary of State & Indiana ISAC

April 19th
9:00 - 10:00 - Roundtable discussion on workflow (Ticket) systems
10:00 - 11:00 - Open Door and Policy Discussion w/ Luke Britt, Indiana Public Access Counselor
11:00 - 12:00 - PowerBI Intro with Microsoft Technical Specialist
12:00 - 2:00 - Symplexity (Backup / DR / Cyber Best Practices)
2:15 - 4:00 - SharePoint/OneDrive (Roundtable Discussion - Topic specialists from Microsoft will be attending)

For those of you that have Jason Johnson from Microsoft as your rep, he will be attending as well.

If staying overnight on Wednesday, the Courtyard or Fairfield Inn on 37 in Noblesville would be good options.

Meet the President

Chris Mertens Picture

Chris Mertens serves as Director of IT at Hamilton County, Indiana and is located in Noblesville, IN. Prior to joining Hamilton County, Indiana, Chris served as Director of Information Technology at State of Missouri. At present, Chris is a member of Hoosier Heritage Port Authority, Technology Oversight Board and Indiana Government Technology Leaders. Chris attended William Woods University and studied Business Administration and earned a Masters degree in 1999. Chris also attended Lincoln University and studied Business Administration and earned a Bachelors degree in 1993. Chris's core expertise includes IT Leadership, Budget development, vendor negotiations and project management. Chris enjoys Youth Sports, Chiefs, Royals and Pacers
